Main Event Boxing Apparel was originally conceived in 2002 by a former boxer and now boxing coach Les Cooke, with over 40 years experience in the sport.

The products were tested and trialled with many different manufacturing sources over a 5 year span, with extensive trials being conducted at gyms throughout the UK until the products met with the boxers and coaches highest approval.

The brand was officially launched in 2007 and soon built up a reputation for high quality and reliability.

One major key to the success of the brand to date is due to its owners understanding of the sport and working alongside the customers to get things as user friendly as possible no matter what the costs are in research and development.

Les decided from day one, that Main Event would be a boxing brand only and would not look to flood the market, but instead to make a small and well controlled high end product but still keeping the final end costs to the customers, as fair as possible.

In 2015, Main Event sponsored a large boxing gym with over 5 boxing rings and 20 plus punch bag stations in Essex.

The owners of the brand would hope that in 50 years time, Main Event Boxing Apparel will still have the same good name that has made it what it is today.
